Announcement

September 16th, 2019

Do you want to know more about what Open Access publishing can do for the visibility of your book? Join us in Boston!

Springer Nature and Digital Science are hosting a free event in Boston on September 19th to celebrate the SN Open Access program. Several speakers will appear at this multidisciplinary gathering for academic authors and researchers, including Ros Pyne (Director of OA Books, Springer Nature), Mike Taylor (Head of Metrics Development, Digital Science), and Eric Haines (Distinguished Engineer, NVIDIA).

Haines is the lead editor of 2019 Apress Open Access book Ray Tracing Gems, written by multiple collaborators at NVIDIA. Haines will participate in a live author Q&A at the event to illuminate attendees about his experience publishing an Open Access book with Apress. Chapters of Ray Tracing Gems have been downloaded over 620,000 times since its release this year, an unprecedented figure exceeding that of all previous Apress OA titles.

The event will be held at WeWork at 501 Boylston Street and will run from 1:30pm–5pm, with networking drinks to be held nearby after 5pm.

Registration is open and free of charge.
