Error is code file name, and not book content related. I am running Windows Vista Enterprise edition and have just downloaded the source code. Five of the datasource files for Chapter 5 will not extract due to file name length. Files affected: CH05_Controls.Recepe5_8.AdvWorks.ProductCategory.datasource CH05_Controls.Recepe5_8.AdvWorks.ProductCostHistory.datasource CH05_Controls.Recepe5_8.AdvWorks.ProductDescription.datasource CH05_Controls.Recepe5_8.AdvWorks.ProductInventory.datasource CH05_Controls.Recepe5_8.AdvWorks.ProductSubcategory.datasource

I just tried downloading the zip and unpacked it on my Windows Vista machine. I tried using both the Windows Vista shell zip extraction feature as well as a 3rd party product (WinZip).I had no problems whatsoever in either case. If you are using the default Windows Vista zip file handling feature, one suggestino would be to try a 3rd party product like WinZip or 7-Zip (both have free versions available).
